Azure Cost Management App - Not downloadable and forecast data missing

Hi community,

I have two points regarding the Azure Cost Management Template App:

  1. There is a table "Budgets" and two columns "forecastAmount" and "forecastUnit" which are empty. Is it possible to get the forecast data from Azure via this app or the connector?
  2. It says "You can use the app as is, or you can download it into Power BI Desktop and join with additional data to create customized reports to get holistic views of your overall business cost.", but it is not possible (also mentioned in the MS documentation that is not possible to download the .pbix). There is an idea on the Azure ides page, but only got 3 votes...

Thx & cheers

Thanks for your asnwer. Yes, I used this article to set up the app. I just wanted to report, that the message on the first page of the template app is wrong and was wondering if other user have empty forecast columns. Seems like it is better to create an own report from scratch then using this template app.

Hi @Mogry ,

Have you reveiwed this article and the other connector option?

Analyze Azure costs with the Power BI App | Microsoft Docs

I am particularly referring to the piece that suggests the other connector that can be customized:

If you want to modify and extend the default filters, views, and visualizations to customize for your needs, use Azure Cost Management connector in Power BI Desktop instead. With the Azure Cost Management connector you can join additional data from other sources to create customized reports to get holistic views of your overall business cost. The connector also supports Microsoft Customer Agreements.
