Audit logs in Power BI service

Hello,

Are there Audit logs for Power BI service where

1) I could track dashboard/report failures?

2) Track data refresh failures?

I have report dashboard/report daily availability and daily refresh success rate on a weekly basis to my team lead but I couldn't find any logs for this.

Thank you!

Hi @just3235,

What could the failures of Dashboard/Report be?

Maybe you can check out the audit logs from here.

Regarding the refresh, I would suggest you retrieve the refresh history using the REST API. Please refer to Dataset-refresh-history.

Hi Dale,

Thank you for your suggestions.

I just found there's an easier way to access the refresh history instead of creating REST APIs.

In Power BI service -> Settings -> Datasets -> Refresh History (as shown below)

Hi Dale, Thank you so much for responding. I was thinking about failures like dashboards/reports that are live on Power BI service crashing or failing to load.

Hi @just3235,

As far as I know, there aren't logs like that. The refreshing statements are listed in the refresh history as I mentioned before.

I would suggest you create an idea here.

Dale

Hi @just3235,

My bad. I assumed you want to download the refresh history. I'm glad you found it yourself.

Dale
