Audit log, live?

Is there a way to know in real time (live) who is sharing and who it is being shared with?

Hi there

You could query the AuditLog via PowerShell and have those being read into a Power BI dataset.

I am fairly certain that there is a delay for events being written to the event log.

Why would you need it real-time?

The idea would be to know in the moment when something is being shared. Since the log has a lag, we don't know who is still sharing information. We also don't want confidential information being shared and currently don't know it's being shared until AFTER the fact.

Are there other possibilities? Other than the audit log I mean.

Hi there

Currently I do not think it is possible.

What I would do is to only allow trusted people to be able to share. With a smaller audience who can share reports and dashboards the easier to control.
