Audit Logs for when the Users was assigned Power BI Pro License

We were trying to take out the licenses from the users who haven't even seen a single report with in the last 90 days. Now, We were able to caputure the auit logs for the power bi report usuage through office 365 admin portal. We finalised the list of users who haven't had an activity in power bi with in last 90 days.

Our problem is, we might be capturing the users who just got their license and haven't signed in to power bi yet. We wanted to eliminate these users. For that we should have to know when the user was assigned Pro license.

Is there any way that I can find out when the user was assigned Pro License ?

Thanks!

Finally, I got an update from Microsoft Support Team... Azure Engineer in our organisation dealt with this...

Use Microsoft Graph to get the assigned Data and time of Pro Licenses to the users.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/overview?view=graph-rest-beta

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/api/resources/assignedplan?view=graph-rest-beta

This API will give the required details.

Hi @Anonymous ,

You are saying that you can see the activity of Power BI of the users "We were able to caputure the auit logs for the power bi report usuage through office 365 admin portal. We finalised the list of users who haven't had an activity in power bi with in last 90 days"

If I look on my Admin center then I only see which users has Power BI license. But I need the same information as below for the following products, Power BI, Office 365 F3, Microsoft PowerAutomate and Security E3

Thanks in advance!

hi, @Anonymous

After my research, I'm afraid it couldn't achieve in Power BI for now.

It seems that it couldn't find out when the user was assigned Pro License directly.

You may try to create a support ticket in Power BI Support to get further help.

Best Regards,

Lin
