App Permissions

First post, though I spend a good deal of time in PBI.

Within an app workspace we can hide the Dataset from Members via setting Members can only view Power BI content.

However when the App is published and permissions assigned via the Access pane, those given access to the app also have permission to the Datasets.

Can the Access to the Datasets sections specifically be abstracted within Apps - the same functionality as the app workspace? Should this be a suggested idea?

Thanks in advance.

Hi @samb0x,

Currently, it is not able to disable the dataset access permission for read-only members. As we can see from the dialog box when publishing an APP, viewers will be granted with full access to all content inside the APP.
