Anonymous web schedueld refresh fails in service but works fine in desktop.

I am not able to user the powerbi service to make a scheduled refresh.

It fails each time with the following error:

Data source error:We're sorry, an error occurred during evaluation.;The system cannot find the file specified The system cannot find the file specified The system cannot find the file specified The system cannot find the file specified The system cannot find the file specified The system cannot find the file specified The system cannot find the file specified The system cannot find the file specified The system cannot find the file specified. The exception was raised by the IDbCommand interface. Table: XYZ.

Gateway option is disabled, since the entire data is on the public web. Also the error makes no sense at all, since there's no file involved in refresh at all.

If it helps, here's how the advanced editor for query looks like

Hi,

if you still get IDB error on power BI service . Please uninstall your On premises enterprise gateway and install it back . Although for web gateway is not required . For a workaround , you can add latest on prem enterprise gateway and add datasource in manage gateway option. Once datasource is added you can go to dataset of your report and go to gateway section link your https link to respective datasource which you added  and schedule it accordingly it will work .

Hi @ndtrial ,

If you have not installed the on-premises gateway, you could install it.

If you have installed the on-premises gateway, you could re-install it. Don't forget to delete all the files and folders related to the On-Premise Data Gateway. Here is the path for your reference: C:\Program Files\On-premises data gateway.

And antivirus softwares may cause this issue, you could remove it temporarily to check if it works.

Seems like you could install a gateway and potentially fix this but you should not have to, I agree.

You could check the Issues forum here:

And if it is not there, then you could post it.
