did you figure this out, what was the issue?

This has changed a bit since the advent of Fabric.

1) Select DataFactory from the lower left (Click on the PowerBi Icon)

2) Find your DataSet in the list
3) Apply build permission to your app

Cheers,

Mike

How can you use analyze excel feature?

I mean how can you convert the data into table format?

Hi @Anonymous

(1)Please check the settings in your admin portal , whether related functions have turned on .Then go to report to make sure whether the function has worked .

(2)Please check the report in workspace not in app ,whether you can analyze in excel .If no ,please check the limitations for Analyze in Excel . If yes ,publish the report to an app ,and then click Analyze in Excel in report .

(3)Sign in your account in other computer or broswer to judge whether it is a browser problem .

I did a test. If your report can be analyzed in excel in the workspace, then after publishing to the app, you can still analyze in excel in the report .

Hey @Anonymous ,

can you get in contact with your Power BI Tenant admin?

He has to make sure the Analyze in Excel feature is enable in the tenant:

Also the export data feature has to be enabled:

@selimovd thanks. If that was the issue i shouldn't be able to export the reports  either. I can export my reports as excel. Its the Power BI Apps that i cannot.

@Anonymous Did you check the first option that "Use Analyze in Excel" is enabled?
