Is there a way to enable external/guest users to analyze data in Excel? That feature that brings the dataset to an Excel sheet.
I just shared a report with an external user, and the analyze in Excel is not enabled.
I just read the docummentation and it seems there is no limitation for such.

Thanks!

Hi @Anonymous
Currently as it stands there is no work around for this in PBI
One option is to create an AAS database.
Or you create a local user in your tenant and grant them access this way.
Hi @Anonymous
If you look under the limitations in your link it does specify that Guest (External) users can't use Analyze in Excel
I hope that clarifies this for you?
Thanks @GilbertQ ! Do you know any workaound? Does not make sense Microsoft does not let users guests that were added to azure b2b not be able to analyze the underlying data as datasource.

Sadly, PBI currently does not support external users to analyze in excel...or to access the dataset for consumption...only if we create and pay for another PBI Pro/Premium license by reating a user for the external customer.
Hope Microsoft realease this features any time soon!
