Analyse in Excel - load data to power query||power pivot

Hello.

Is it possible to load data to power query OR power pivot from a Power BI Service Dataset and then analyse it? I tried pasting the connection string in power pivot but it returns "connection string not valid" when I press the Build query option.

I'm asking since all dates in excel are considered as text and as such pivot date filters are not available.

For power bi dataset in power bi service, you could only live connect to it, but not import it.

Currently this is not possible as far as I know.

You can either connect directly with Excel to the dataset, but cannot import the dataset into Excel.
