Allowing End users to download data

Hello, I would like the ability for when I establish and publish a data set to a public domain(website) that those end users(general public) will be able to download the data sets like we are able to download datasets in the online dashboards that we share in between employees, such as clicking and filtering down data then exporting the data to either excel sheets or .csv. Is there any way to do this or is it a feature that I am currently unaware of?

Thank you for your time,

Regards,

Microsoftrookie

Hi Microsoftrookie,

I realized that the report is embedded in the page as a whole part after consulting an expert. Then we can say the report is independent from the web page.

Best Regards!

Hi @microsoftrookie,

According to my test, we can't export data from a report that from Publish to web. Since you want your report public available, maybe Power BI embedded could help. Here is sample public available and we can export data from.

If you have any question about Power BI embedded, please go to the Developer forum

Thank you for your rapid reply dale, however I have just one last question regarding this topic. I looked at the page you sent me in the power bi embedded sample i noticed that the report was part of the embed code. In this embedded report I could download the data for each seperate visualization using the three dots in the corner of each visualization. Is this part of the page that the report is on, or is this function part of the fact that the report is embedded in the page? Rather than the report being just the page itself. If so, that would work for as a solution to our problem. Thank you again for your rapid response,

Regards,
