I have configured scheduled refresh to keeps refreshing my dataset every hour.
My problem is that in the enviroment I'm currently working on the internet connection is sometimes down, which makes scheduled refresh fail.
That alone wouldn't be a big issue to me, but the thing is Power BI after about 3-5 failed refreshes turns off scheduled refresh automatically...
Why does it keep doing that? How can I prevent it from turning it off?

Hi @dzduniak,
What's more, there is an idea about that you can vote it up. And MS replied that they will still disable refresh if we notice that refresh fails consistently, but this time we’ll send you an email to inform you why we turned off refresh.

Frank
Hi @dzduniak,
I checked with PG and got the reply from them.
It’s by design the Schedule Refresh is disable after 4 consecutive errors.

Hi @dzduniak,
Does that make sense? If so, kindly mark my answer as a solution to close the case.

Hi @dzduniak,
Based on my test, I can reproduce your issue here. So You shouldn't install a gateway on a computer, such a laptop, that may be turned off, asleep, or not connected to the Internet because the gateway can't run under any of those circumstances. In addition, gateway performance might suffer over a wireless network. Also I will check with PG for this.

Frank
