Adding a new data source to the Enterprise Gateway Error - ODBC

Hi there,

I've the following situation:

- Connecting Power BI to Netsuite ODBC connector

- Connecting Power BI to csv files on a different server that were added to the enterprise gateway

- The enterprise gateway is installed on a third virtual machine  (not the same as the csv files or Power BI)

- I'm trying to add the ODBC to the gateway but I see the error below. Contacted Support they said it could be related to the csv files being on a different location than the one where the gateway is installed. But I can't move the csv files to a different location right now.

Has anybody seen this before? What was the solution?

Unable to connect: We encountered an error while trying to connect to . Details: "We could not register this data source for any gateway instances within this cluster. Please find more details below about specific errors for each gateway instance."Hide details

Status code:400
Error Code:DMTS_PublishDatasourceToClusterErrorCode

Re: Adding a new data source to the Enterprise Gateway Error - ODBC

Seems like you do not have the correct ODBC driver installed on the gateway and/or have not defined the ODBC connection name.

No idea what the CSV file has to do with anything. You would not have to ODBC to a CSV file.

Wow I should have asked it earlier! It was exactly that.

Thank you!

Just to make it clearer to understand for whoever is reading it next:

I didn't have the ODBC installed on the server where the gateway is installed, I only had it on my pc.

The solution was to simply installe the ODBC on the server as well.
