Is there anyway to improve the look of Images in PowerBI service (ie. apply smoothing filter)?
In Desktop, images look reasonable, if not a bit blurry due to the smoothing:
However, as soon as I publish and access PBI Service, they look quite grainy:
Both images are screenshots taken directly from Power BI. The grainy photo might not look that bad, but when you are working with company logos, it stands out like a sore thumb.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I should point out that I simply used the Add Image function.
You can try editing options in scaling. See the screenshot.
I appreciate your reply, but the scaling option does not seem to impact the quality of the image. It simply adjusts the scale of the image (ie. scale to fit, no scaling, etc.)
The result is the same regardless of the option... at least in terms of how pixelated it appears.
Hi @Anonymous,
I have tested it on my local environment by using a custom visual (ImgViewerVisual.0.1.0). I upload this image to onedrive and add the URL
to the visual.
We cannot reprduce this issue.
Please try to use ImgViewerVisual.0.1.0 visual and check if this issue persists or not.
