Add two different credentials for same data source in Power BI Service

I have two reports in two different workspaces which use PowerPlatformDataflows data source. Both have different credentials that I need to use because both are in different microsoft tenants but credentials for this source from one report automatically applies the same in the report in the other workspace as well and vice versa.

Since the reports are in different workspaces, I think Power BI should let me have two different credentials but isn't. Is there any other alternative for this? Any help is appreciated.

Hi @ankesh ,

In my test, I found that you had to use another account to take over the dataset in one of the workspaces so that you could set different credentials for the two datasets.

Here are some screenshots of my test.

Hi @ankesh

As it stands today it will use the same data source credential for the same dataflow. You would have to duplicate it and give it another name.

How do i give another name for "PowerPlatformDataflows" in both workspaces so that they are not considered the same? I am sorry if you misunderstood the question. I have edited it now to provide more clarity.

Hi @ankesh

When you create the dataflow you can give it a name?
