Ability to drill down to Xero transactional level

Hi, hoping this is possible and if so, someone is able to point me in the right direction.

I'm new to Power BI and have just connected to Xero App.  We have a number of departments with the leaders requiring access to only their department.  That is why we can't do this in Xero, as while you can limit their functionality (read/edit) you cannot set their security (what parts of the organisation they can/cannot see) within Xero.

I was hoping Power BI would enable me to create departmental reports that could then be drilled into enabling leaders to review transactions.  However, I cannot find transactions in the dataset.  Another issue is tracking categories are not present either, which is what I would use to filter by (the departments are tracking categories).

Is this data there and I haven't found it yet, or does the app not bring this data in?

If the data is not there, is there a way to get it into Power BI Service?

If the answer is no to both the above questions, what other options can be suggested to achieve the desired result?  I understand PowerBI desktop does not connect with Xero.  I am no developer, so wouldn't have a clue about data warehousing and creating queries to extract data from Xero myself.

Thanks for your help.

Roger

hi, @Filmer

According to my knowledge, I'm afraid it couldn't achieve in power bi for now.

For your requirement, you could post your new idea in Power BI ideas and make this feature coming sooner.

And you could create a support ticket here to get further help from power bi support team.

Go to https://support.powerbi.com. Scroll down and click "CREATE SUPPORT TICKET".
