ADDMISSINGITEMS function must be fully qualified when publishing

Hi community,

I made an entire report on PowerBi Desktop and everything is working perfectly fine.

When publishing the report, I had no errors.

However, when going on the app.powerbi.com to see my report, this error is displayed :

Please note that I never use the "ADDMISSINGITEMS" function in my dax formulas on my powerbi desktop's report.

Do you have any idea on how to solve this ?

My report is a matrix which has 4 rows, very basic.

Let me know !

Many thanks,

Jonathan

Hi guys,

I contacted the Microsoft's support and they said that is a current bug when activating "Show item with no data" in the rows of a matrix. Everything works fine in PBI Desktop but when publishing it does this "ADDMISSINGITEMS function must be fully qualified" error.

The workaround is to disable this option from the matrix rows before publishing.

The issue will be fixed my microsoft's team for the middle of next month.

Many thanks for your help !

Best regards,

Jonathan

Hi @Quenjo,

May I know where this error message displayed? Is it displayed for the entire report or on a specific visual? What your data source and connection mode of your report? In your report, did you make any data combination operations such as merge, append?

If there is any post helps, then please consider Accept it as the solution to help the other members find it more quickly. If I misunderstand your needs or you still have problems on it, please let me know. Thanks a lot!
