visulatizing data monthly as year changes

Hello all,

After multiple researches, I still am stuck on trying to get a visualization to work the way i want.

I am trying to get my data to show monthly and be interactive to time. So for example, i have data that shows based on months as i have set the timeline to be for jan 2017 to dec 2017. that's correct. now if i change the timeline to be jan 2017 to march 2018, the data gets added (jan of 2017 and of 2018 gets added together and shows as jan). Is there a way to show like a continuous of months going forward as year increases.

this first example, I have data from jan 2017 to dec 2018 and all showing correctly.

Jan 2017 to Dec 2017Jan 2017 to Dec 2017 this second graph shows data from june 2017 to march 2018, (hence it's missing april and may).

June 2017 to March 2018June 2017 to March 2018

What i'm trying the second graph to show is that it shows starting from june and ends at march. i don't want it to start from jan, so basically not be in a chronological order by month but be chronological by year.

Is this possible to do? any help would be appreciated.

Looks like it's a Power BI visualization. Try ask this question in the Desktop forum: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/bd-p/power-bi-designer

A side question, is it a requirement to omit the year on the X-Axis? If you include the year, it might solve your problem.

thank you. someone helped me in the desktop forum as you suggested. It was to click the drill through button that separate chronologically.
