renamed security account or group

What does is mean when a security added object/group from active directory does not syncronise to the new given name to that same AD account/group?

It instead is given another name which consists a datestamp in front of the old name. (ie. 20201010salesusers instead of salesUserG)

old AD name: salesusers

new AD name: salesusersG
