Visual updated in scheduled refresh, PBIX still old

My problem seems just the opposite to many previous posts:

PBIRS: 15.0.1106.169 (On premise, no gateway)

Edition: Power BI Report Server - Developer (Dev environment)

PowerBI client: May 2021

Server mode: Native

After successful scheduled refresh, all visuals are updated when viewing from web page.

However the downloaded file is still the very old version.

I noticed that in "ExecutionLog3" the "Request Type" is "Refresh Cache".

Is the "Scheduled Refresh" actually refreshing the cache and won't update file? So my problem is just as expected

Our scenario is user must can downloaded updated reports.

Hi @Anonymous ,

I'm afraid that it is not supported to download .pbix file with the latest data from Power BI Report Server currently.

Once you upload file it saves it original contents of your files including data. and whenever you try to download it will download the last snapshot that is being uploaded in PBIRS.

Since you are refreshing the new file, the data will only be updated in Server Model and you will see that updated data in the report. But if you will download the PBIX file, the new content will not be download and you will see the last uploaded PBIX file.
