To display User name in Power BI Report for on-premise Report Server

Currently all our SSRS reports have username in footer.

We want to do the same in Power BI Report (on-premise).

We created a template and added a table and then added a measure with DAX funtion USERNAME().

Then added a table.

based on this template we created a report and deployed to the server.

The user name is shown on the deployed report.

Are there any other approaches?

Couple of questions:

1) In above approach say i open template and start getting data the option to connect live is disabled. Is there any work around?

2) Can we apply template to an exisitng Power BI report?
