Scheduled Refresh for online sources

Hi,

We are using the PowerPI Report Server (August 2018 version) and have created PowerBI reports with online connections to Smartsheet.

If we refresh the PowerBI reports in PowerBI Desktop, data from Smartsheet is updated correctly, but the reports published on the Report Server are only updated if we publish / saves the updated PowerBI report.

Is it possible to schedule a refresh of data from Smartsheet?

In "manage" for the report, Scheduled Refresh are not available/supported.

We also have the same challenge. No one wants to manually refresh the Smartsheet data every day. But - currently there is no option as it isn't a supported data source for refresh by PowerQuery per this page here.

So we are exploring the option of creating a linked server object in SQL Server to bring in Smartsheet data over ODBC. No idea if that will work, but if the data can get into SQL Server, we can refresh from there no problem.

I have the same question, trying to do the same thing as OP above.   Does anyone have an answer to this?   We have a need to schedule a refresh of Smartsheet data on the Power BI Report Server (On Premise).
