Schedule issue: An item with the same key has already been added

Hello,

we use the Power Bi Reporting Service October 2017 and we can  refresh the Reports in Power BI Desktop but not scheduled on the Reporting Service.

We got this issue:

Data refresh failed. Please try again later or contact you administrator.

SessionID: df130cf6-f7e1-482f-8264-131ef7dcbca6
[0] 0: An item with the same key has already been added.

Some reports finished well, but all of the failed reports have for example merged DataSets with an Analysis Connection / SQL Server Connection.

We use the 14.0.600.442 Version.

Has anyone a solution for this ?

Hi @M_Lechner,

Please check whether there existing some columns in the two merged tables (one from Analysis Connection, one from SQL Server Connection) that share the same field name. If so, please rename these columns to enable each column has its unique field name. By the way, Table1.Column1 and Table2.Column2 might be regarded as the same one.

Please have a look at this blog: SSRS QUICK TIP – AN ITEM WITH THE SAME KEY HAS ALREADY BEEN ADDED

Best regards,

Yuliana Gu

Hi @v-yulgu-msft,

i checked your link a few days ago, and it didn't solved our problem.

We have some combinations:

SQL - SQL  --> Problem

Analysis wit MDX - SQL  --> Problem

Analysis with MDX - Analysis with MDX  --> Problem

The only thing that works is Analysis - Analysy, but we have a lot of data, so we must filter our data with MDX before.

I have had problems when trying to merge sql to sql, the best solution I have found sofar is to put the sql into a view

SQL - SQL is not the Problem. The Big Problem is:   Analysis with MDX - Analysis with MDX
