Row Level Security in Power BI Report Server

Hi all

Using powerbi report server  March 2018 I create users and reports, but when I move to report server I don't find a placer to MAP users to roles.

We did implement the RLS by ourselfs. Basically you will need a connection to your AD from where you can create different relationsships to other tables. Your report then needs a Measure where the username of the user gets populated. By passing this value to your AD table you can apply filters to other tables.

 

This would be a way how you could create your own RLS.

I just have a quick update on that one.

 

Microsoft announced at this years Ignite that Row Level Security will come in the November/December Release of Power BI Report Server

I believe that RLS is only a feature of the Service. I may be mistaken.

Unfortunately RLS is not a current feature of PBI RS.  Chris recently replied that it won't be included in the upcoming July - August release.  So we will have to keep waiting.
