Restrict/Segregate access data in Power BI Report Server with an Access Database

Hello,

I want to segregate data in Power BI report server. The database is an Access database.

"User 1 can only view the Perimeter" , "User 2 can only view the Perimeter 2".

I have seen some solutions in internet :

- Row Level Security in cloud (report services)

- Using username() in MS SQL Server

but it doesn't work for an access database in Power BI report server.

Can you help me please ?

Thanks in advance

Thanks for your reply !

They use Microsoft SQL Server as a database which allows to use SQL Query whereas I am using Microsoft Access database 😕

Moreover,  they create some roles in order to segregate data according to the user but we can't view the role in Power BI Report Server 😕

Native Power Bi PLS doesn't work on PBIRS, it is a feature for Q4.

The only option is to push via ETL TO A SQL Server, make a direct query connection and use the native SQL RLS or use a SSAS cube.
