Hi,
We are leading company in the MENA & LEVANT region where RTL support is critical in reports and dashboards.
Apparently, the current version of Power BI optimized for On-Premise needs to have some critical features added urgently in order to help in adoption of this product in the region.
We are specifically talking about a region that uses RTL Orientation such as: Hebrew, Arabic, etc, etc...
The following features are critical:
1. RTL support for all visuals. Priority off course to Matrix and Table visuals. Without RTL support for Tables and Matrices, these visuals simply cannot be used
2. Ability to set custom labels for every attribute in a visual and this includes: Chart Legends, Matrix/Table Column/Row Headers, etc, etc....
The suggestion of setting this on the SSAS model will not work and has many technical complexities and limitations.
Simply this has to be supported from within Power BI itself.
The above critical features already exist in Reporting Services Paginated Reports. Now, in order to convince customers to upgrade from SQL Standard to SQL Enterprise with SA in order to use Power BI On-Premise, the above features are a must-to-have. Otherwise customers will reject the product.
Dears @mgmeyer and @riccardomuti , kindly appreciate that the above is considered with a high priority.
Kindly, as we have already been used to, we hope that Microsoft provides this RTL support in the soonest possible time.
Thank you to all the Power BI team
Luai
