RSOffice Exception

After updating to October release for Power BI report server the logs show and RSOffice exception.

 

RSHostingService Log:

Hi @markp,

 

What operation you made on Report Server that cased this error prompt? Just updating the Power BI Report Server? Or did you change any configuration? Please provide more description about your scenario.

I only noticed this happen when I updated to the latest build <Product>Microsoft Power BI Report Server Version 14.0.600.437</Product>

 

I dont think its affecting anything that is being used but it keep happening over and over in the logs.

This issue is still present even after updating to version:

<Product>Report Server Version 2017.0140.0600.438 ((BI_Server_Current).171208-0126)</Product>

@v-yulgu-msft having the same issue after changing the RS ServiceAccount user.

Unfortunatelly this is quite a big problem as it impacts all of the Excel spreadsheet rendering.

Recreating the portal url helped (ie. removing the bindings and adding them back again)
