Is there any harm on publishing reports from Power BI Desktop May 2020 version to Power BI Report Server May 2021.
I did test and it worked for me but maybe I can get into issues long term ?

For a better user experience, it is recommended to upgrade to the version of Power BI Desktop for Power BI Report Server that matches the server.
Compared with May 2020, Power BI Desktop (optimized for Power BI Report Server) May 2021 has many updates and many bug fixes. In order not to miss them, it is recommended to use the new version.

- "Models with enhanced metadata" is now the only option for modeling in Power BI Desktop for RS.
