Power BI Paginated Reports with Excel or CSV file data source

Hi All,

 

I am new into paginated reports. I need to use my data files (Excel, CSV or any text file)as data source to Power BI Report Builder. 

Is anyone having idea that how we can achive this ?

Hi, you have a few options

 

1. If the data doesn't change, you can copy and past the CSV into the ENTER DATA feature: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/paginated-reports/paginated-reports-enter-data

2. If you are using PBI Report Server or SSRS you can use an ODBC connection to yoru Excel file: https://www.xtivia.com/sql-server-how-to-setup-a-data-source-in-ssrs-to-ms-access-ms-excel-and-csv-f...

3. If you are using PBI.com you can connect it to a PBI Report/DataSet: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/power-bi-dataset-data-source-support-for-paginated-reports-...
