POWER BI DESKTOP SOURCE FOR REPORT BUILDER

Hi,

I m using power bi desktop with an import mode.

I see that I can connect Report builder to SSAS, Power bi Data Set but not from the Desktop itself.

Do you think that Microsoft will allow this later ?

Many thanks,

Yamin

OK. This might be possible if you have the .PBIX is open since Power BI Desktop is essentially running a local SSAS on your computer.

I've done this in Power Pivot in Excel where the connection looks like this:

I've never tried this from the Report Builder though.

To clarify, you're trying to connect the Report Builder .RDL to a .PBIX file you have on your local computer as a data source?

Yes Alexis, when I check the datasource, I can't get "Power bi destkop" as a source.

Then, I have to rebuild my data model on SSAS to do so...
