PBIRS - High Availability "Basic"

Hi,

 

Does anyone know or have experience in running PBIRS on HA but using Always On Basic Availability Groups from SQL Standard license. I've read in "basic" one of the limitation is  "Support for one availability database" in the Availablity Group. I saw somewhere PBIRS has two databases - main Report Server and the Report Server Temp db. Does it mean you have to have two AG in SQL? Does this cause an issue or would we have to use Enterprise version of Always-On?

Not applicable

You must put both database to the HA Group. See here

But you must ensure that all servers has the service credentials an the logins and you must restart the report server after every failover to ensure that the scheduled refreshs are working.

 

After you that use the standard edition, the limitation avoid this scenario:
