Hello,
Is it possible to connect an on-premises Power BI Report hosted on Power BI Report Server to a cloud version of D365?
Best Regards,
Simon
Solved! Go to Solution.
The biggest issue you are going to have with the cloud version of D365 is that (as per the documentation here https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/report-server/data-sources ) it only supports manual data refresh through Power BI desktop. You cannot do scheduled refresh or Direct Query from the on-prem report server to the online D365 data. If you need scheduled refresh or Direct Query reports your best approach would be to use the power BI cloud service.

Hi @SimonSeez !
You can give this embedding technique a try in D365 online;

Thank you. I'll give it a try. I actually use this method to connect on-prem Power BI and on-prem CRM. Wasn't sure it would work with a cloud CRM.
