OOS and PBIRS integration permissions

I have an installation of PBIRS and OOS. From this I can upload Excel files etc to the PBIRS site and they render nicely. I am still working on permissions to update the data from an SSAS MD cube but that will come next. Right now I would like to know what are the permissions necessary to allow a user to download the Excel file. So far only administrators can down load it.

thanks

Hi Glen, there is a known defect downloading excel files IF you have set security settings on the folder (e.g it does not inherit from parent). Otherwise, you should be able to download assuming the user has catalog item permissions set.

Hi Jon-Heide,

Thank you for your answer. I did not know that.

Is there a way to save the Excel file in the state that the user has applied dimensions and filters to the pivot table?

I am currently only able to download the file from the server in it's original state.

Is it possible to save a copy locally in the changed state?

Thanks
