Not able to implement security on PowerBI dashboard

Hello Everyone,

I have created RLS in SSAS using CUSTOMDATA(). When i tried opening the dashboard on the report server cannot see the security implementation as the User is still able to access all data. Besides, i tried this with SSRS report in which the security has been implemented.

Does the function CUSTOMDATA() support the dashboard?

Thankyou,

Deepu.

@deepu I've never seen the use of "CustomData" as a RLS function... I would suggest using the USERNAME() or USERPRINCIPLENAME() functions to validate the user context within the filter. In that regard, you are capturing the user as they access the report and further filtering based on a mapping table (most likely).
