Login credentials not working on published report

Hi,

I have a report with a data connection to the Power BI API data (https://<ReportServer>/Reports/api/v2.0). The report works fine when saved in a local folder and refreshed. But when it is published on the on-premise report server, I am unable to get through the authentication. By default, "Anonymous" is selected, and that fails. The local folder version uses the logged in Windows users credentials, but the same Windows credentials fail for "Windows Authentication". I don't have values for the other authentication types. Please advise on how to solve the access issue.

Regards,

Mohan

I am afraid you cannot use Odata source credential in report server.

Please check the reply for Odata source in this thread.

What error you are getting when trying to log in thru Windows Credentials? Can you please share the screenshot of it? Does the user has permission to access PBIRS server?

Also is it possible to check logs/events that are generating while trying to update credentials.

The user has access to the PBIRS server, and has connected to the Power BI Report Server homepage using the same credentials.

Make sure that you are using Domain\UserName instead of "UserName"
