Invalid connection credentials

Hi everybody

Usually i published my reports from my computer and never was problem when me and all my colleagues trying to see the information in powerbi online. However, last month i had to change my computer and since that, every time i try to publish a report i can't see the information.

I have an error that says: "invalid connection credentials".

This error has to be with the new powerbi updated, or maybe with the direct queries i have in my report ?

Thanks in advance.

Hi @Ramalhomarcelo ,

From your description, I guess that you are not publishing to Report Server web portal from Power BI Desktop optimized for Power BI Report Server, but from Power BI Desktop to Power BI Service. And you have successfully published your report which with DirectQuery connection type. But you can't see contents on the report in Power BI Service and it shows error: "Invalid connection credentials". Right?

If so, you need to use a gateway to connect Power BI Service to your on-premises data sources. One document for reference: Manage your data source - SQL Server. If you have done this, please check if the data source is connected successfully.

If not, please let me know.

In addition, if you are publishing to PBIRS, do you change the PBIRS Web Service URL? Since your computer name has been changed, please change that part in your url.

Best regards

Icey
