Installing PBI desktop for Report Server and PBI desktop on the same machine

is it possible to install the PBI desktop for Report Server and the PBI desktop on the same client machine without any issues?

Yes. You can install the PBI desktop for Report Server and the PBI desktop on the same client machine. They work separately.
