Function 'DATESMTD' is not supported in DirectQuery mode

Function 'DATESMTD' is not supported in DirectQuery mode in filters in Report Server version

Enabling allow unrestricted measures in directquery mode option did not work. Below is our DAX query - 

MTD_Avg_Balance_Debt = TOTALMTD([Sumprin Debt],v_get_TransDate[TransDate])/(DATEDIFF(STARTOFMONTH(v_get_TransDate[TransDate]),max(v_get_TransDate[TransDate]),DAY)+1)

Works on desktop version, however doesnt work once published to sever.

Could you try with the March 2018 release of Power BI Report Server released today?

Yes,
we tried using March 2018 version still it is not working...
any alternate solution for this? please suggest!!
