Error creating refreshment schedule of web content data with post method

I have a PBI Report Server that gets data from an API by POST method, something like:

let
    URL = "http://xxx/tstat",
    headers = [#"Content-Type"="application/json"],
    data = "{""query"":""test""}",
    web = Web.Contents(URL, [ Content = data, Headers = headers),
    result = Json.Document(web),
...

Everything works fine and I can refresh data using the desktop program.

Although when I try schedule the refreshing of the data on the report server I get "Unable to connect to the remote server. The exception was raised by the IDbCommand interface".

The same happens when I try test the connection.

Is it possible to create a refresh plan for POST requests on the on-premisses power bi (report server)?

I don't have a post API where I can test this, but you may be running into a variation of this issue https://blog.crossjoin.co.uk/2016/08/23/web-contents-m-functions-and-dataset-refresh-errors-in-power... so maybe try putting the url directly into the call to web.contents rather than referencing the URL variable and see if that helps.

Thats it d_gosbell, problem solved. The “Skip Test Connection” option on Power BI data sources does not exist on report server. So it's necessary that the base url on web.content can be reachead by a GET request.

I find it in the link inside the link you suggested here

Thank you!
