I've created a PowerApp app and embedded it into a Power BI report that runs on the Power BI report service. It works like it should, and I'm happy with it. However, I can't seem to get the same thing to work for a Power BI report that runs on the report server.
Everything works when I open the report in the Auguse 2018 release of Power BI Desktop for Report Server. Problem is when I publish the report to the report server. I can open the report, and everything else in it works, but the PowerApp application doesn't work. I get a spinning icon that just never resolves.
I know PowerApps integration is still a preview feature for the service. Is is just not working yet for the report server version, or am I missing some kind of configuration? Does anybody else have this working?
Thanks!
Hi, I am investigating this issue or potential solution for our organisation, can you please advice if this is still not available or this feature will become available?
Also what i would like to understand is a workaround if the Power Apps can be shared separetly to user along with the Power BI report , would that work?
Of course if there are any other alternative solutions that would be great.
Thank You,
Vishal
I am facing same issue . The Report works fine at report Level. But when I save it on report server it shows continous refresh icon
for all the time . Not able to integrate PowerApps on PowerBI ReportServer. Can anyone help me on this.
Please see screenshot attached for the issue when the Report is saved as on PowerBI ReportServer.
Thanks!
I'm having the exact same problem in my Report Server instance.
I have just got the message that PowerApps is not supported in Power BI Report Server, please refer below link
