ESRI map would not render on Power BI on premises server

I am trying to publish a ESRI map that I developed using PBI desktop, which inturn uses ArcGIS enterprise account. Everything looks just fine on desktop but as i publish it to PBI server(on-prem), the browser just shows spinning wheel and would not show the map.

What i have done so far:

1) Logged into PBI server URL with same organizational windows credential that were used for ArcGIS login during PBI desktop development.

2. All other reports work just fine, including those use bing maps.

3. Have added cdn URLs related to ArcGIS to trusted sites and the script location from there does load dojo.

4. The Enteprise ArcGIS URL logs in just fine within the browser.

I am really perplexed as to what may be causing this. Any help is appreciated.

Regards,

Ram.

Any update on this? We're having the same problems here using the May 2021 PBIRS update.

Hi,

I have similar issue with PBI RS May 2021 and ArcGIS Enterprise.

After upgrade to September 2021 version (PBIRS and Desktop RS), it works well.

Hey Ram,

What's the version of your ArcGIS Enterprise?
Do you have basemaps from Enterprise in visual, or just some layers?

What version of RS do you have running?

Hello @Anonymous,

I have ArcGIS Enterprise version 10.8.1, for my simple app, i dont have any layers but just the base map from the on-prem ArcGIS Enterprise portal. I am sorry, i did not quite catch what RS is.

Regards,

Ram.

RS would reference Power BI Report Server

Thank you, the Power BI On prem server version is Jan/2021.

@ramadongre

Make sure you enable the ArcGis feature to using ESRI.

Thank you for your response. The above setting was the first setting that allowed me to develop the map in the first place. My issue is that map looks okay within PBI desktop but after publish, it would not render on PBI server within browser.
