Direct Query Connection - Increase in number of connections in database

Hello Everyone, 

I am using direct query to connect to SQL database. Off late, i have observed that with direct query mode,  each visual of report is consuming individual database connection and ending up creating mutiple connections to load a single report. However, this is not applicable to Slicer visual but for rest of the visuals i see this is happening.  Can any one help me in optimising the number of connections getting created in database using direct query. 

Please see that to support the architechture,  i need to go for direct query mode.
