Deploying POwer BI Reports to Power BI Report Server Using RS.EXE or Any Other Scripting

In the company I work with, any developed report whether paginated or otherwise has to have an automated deployment in a customer production environment. So manual copying and deployments is not allowed.

Currently for Reporting Services paginated reports we use the RS.EXE utility to script deploying paginated reports on site. The scriptiing involves setting the shared data source for all reports to a single source according to a user entered information such as: Server name, database name, etc.

Is there any way that we can apply the same method to Power BI reports so as to be easily deployed to PBI Report Server without having to manually copy these files, upload them to the server and finally change the data source connectinvity information for each report on a report by report basis which is not practical in customer sites??

Right now there isn't a supported way to automate this, but it is coming. Eric G. posted some code on how you can automate the deployment of PBIX reports in C# here.
