@Anonymous

The only way to increase the capacity is purchasing premium capacity. Without premium capacity, the max model size is limited to1GB. Change the MaxFileSizeMb in report server will not effect the capacity limitation in power bi service.

thx. can u please share Microsoft documents.

not able to publish dasboard with more than 1 GB data.

as far as i know MS Power BI On-Premises solution license in two ways, premium and go for SQL Server Enterprise Edition with SA.

We have license with SQL Server Enterprise Edition with SA.

i don't think so its depended on license.

pls guide.

thx

@Anonymous

What you mentioned are the two ways you can get the product key for Power BI Report Server: Power BI Premium and SQL Server Enterprise Software Assurance (SA).

For report server see this:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/report-server/install-report-server#before-you-begin

However, you cannot take advantage of SA when you comes into Power BI service. They are two different products.

For Power bi service, the capacity section mentioned the max model size:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-basic-concepts

Check difference between Power BI service and Report Server:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/report-server/compare-report-server-service
