Data Source Connection String

Hi all,

Using Power BI Report Server

Trying to create a new data source to SQL Server

I used connection string like this

Data Source = ServerName;Initial Catalog = my_db

I'm using my Windows credentials

But I still cannot connect

Is my connection string correct

The server name and Catalog(db) are stright from SSMS.

Thanks,

-w

Yes this looks correct

eg Data Source=ABCD;Initial Catalog=contoso

you may use build connection and Test Connection to check :

I think, it is correct. With SQL datasource you can also use:

ServerName;my_db

If still cannot connect, which error mesage is raised?
