I have installed PBI report server on my laptop. I also installed PB Desktop January version. I am opening a PBI report that was created in PB Desktop. When I am trying saving it to the server I get this:
Any help?
Also, am I publishing a report correctly to the local server?
I was able to publish the report to PBI server by uploading it on the Report Portal. I can run it but I don't see any export options. Is that how it works now?
Hi @Markzolotoy ,
I can run it but I don't see any export options. Is that how it works now?
1. If you want to export visual data, it works as on Power BI Service.
2. If you want to export report to Power Point on Power BI Report Server, it is not supported. Microsoft have explained here: Microsoft Idea · Export Power BI report to PowerPoint.
Hi everyone, We’re not planning to bring this feature to Power BI Report Server for Power BI Reports due Some engineering challenges to bring the current architecture for this in the service to the on-prem server product. You’ll of course continue to have the ability to export to PPT for RDL reports in the server product. Chris
3. If you want to export to PDF, it is supported to print current page.
4. If you want to export as a .pbix file, you can click on "Edit in Power BI Desktop" and then save it locally.
Best Regards,
Icey

@Markzolotoy If you have the RS version of Power BI Desktop then there is a publishing option to publish to a report server. Install Power BI Desktop for Power BI Report Server - Power BI | Microsoft Docs
@Markzolotoy - First question, are you using a corresponding version of Power BI Desktop for report server (Power BI Desktop RS edition). It must be the same version (quarterly) as the Power BI Report Server.
