Cannot save any reports to Power BI Report Server

An error is received when trying to save to RS. I don't know how to resolve this issue, so any help is greatly appreciated.

JS_jedi_0-1612548113101.png

This is a new install of PBI report server and Power BI Desktop for RS. Also upgraded SQL Server 2016 to SQL Server 2019 and has SSRS installed prior to install of PBI report server.

I've review the logs on the server an copied pertinent information below.

The following log error from RSPowerBI log:

2 ACCEPTED SOLUTIONS

Oh, the RS build is 15.0.1102.777, Jan 2020. Desk top is most current Jan 2021. The RS build was supposed to be the latest, looks like the OPS team installed the 2020 version by mistake.

Do you think this is the issue?

Yes, it is issue (but I don't if only one). But sure, upgrade RS to latest version (January 2021 (be sure released 28th Jan, not 8th Jan).

Desktop RS must same release version or older (not newer) as server. And also January 2020 version is now unsupported.

"...and has SSRS installed prior to install of PBI report server." You have SSRS still installed, or is uninstalled and replaced by PBIRS? It is on same machine, it is all on one machine?

Which version of PBIRS and which version of PBI Desktop RS you have installed? I think compatiblity level 1520 is about May maybe Oct 2020 Release...
