Appling connection rights Error as Invalid column name 'scheduleid'.

Hello,

I copy my power bi database to new server. I installed a new version of power bi server and selected 'Choose an existing database' option.

In the last step 'Appling connection rights' I got an error with following description. I don't have an idea where is the problem.

Could you please help me? Thanks,

Is this database from the same version as the instance you just installed? If the database is from an older release I'd suggest you install the old release first, connect to the database, then upgrade the instance to the latest release. The reason for this is that I believe the installer will make schema changes to the database when it does an upgrade install. It sounds like you have attempted to connect a new release to an old database schema.

Thank you. I couldn't find any 'update power bi ' section or button in the RS settings. Should I download and install new power bi report server over the older one? If I do this, do I have any problem with old reports?

Yes, we do this every 4 months when a new update is released and have not seen any issues. Of course it's always a good idea to make sure you have a recent back up before doing any upgrade just in case.
