We have recently found some of our Power BI reports which has both source excel files and Database has been failing to refresh through schedule with the error message as A device attached to the system is not functioning. . I tried to do the manual refresh of the same report in Power BI desktop and then schedule refresh the same it worked. I was also able to connect to source excel files successfully as well still it was throwing the same error until i do the manual refresh. I want to find out from this forum what would be the cause of this error A device attached to the system is not functioning how did manual refresh fix?
We are trying to understand the rootcause so that this issue wont be repeated.
