"data.Error: Invalid URI: The hostname could not be parsed"

Using a odata (4) service I get this error:

DataFormat.Error: Invalid URI: The hostname could not be parsed.
Details:
$metadata#A170324

Any suggestions?

@VirtualDataBase

The error message is intuitive, however I'm not able to reproduce it as it can't pass the validation when trying to type a invailid URI in the "get data"->"other"->"OData Feed" URL textbox.

Could you be more specific on what did you do and what is the invalid URI in your case?

@Eric_ZhangThat's kinda the problem.

The url works fine from a browser window.
