linking groups in my matrix to Titles in my Paginated report

Good day,

Hope you guys are doing well,

Would it be possible to link my groups in my matrix to a specific text box in my report, like below

[textbox] - CAR

GlitterL_1-1660113481066.png

[textbox] - BUS

Basically one matrix with multiple textboxes which I can link the groups to?

Hope someone can assist?

Thank you in advance

Hi @GlitterL ,

I assume you mean you want the textbox to change value when you change the [Category] selection in a slicer?

If so, you can just put your [Category] field into a card visual and it should default to 'first'[Category].

Do you mean the Slicer in Power Bi Desktop or is there a slicer in the paginated report that I am not aware of

Hi @GlitterL ,

Sorry, I think I've confused the issue by referencing a slicer.

If you place your [Category] field into a card visual, assuming that your paginated report generates pages based on [Category], then the text value in the card should update for each iteration of [Category], thus can be used as a visual title for your matrix.

Alternatively, you can actually use a measure within your matrix title that will also pick up the changing [Category] context, something like this:

_matrixTitle =
"This matrix shows data for the " & [Category] & " category"

You can then assign this measure to the matrix title bar here:
